Recently, Xiaomi launched a new e-book ink case MIX7, which has both appearance, feel and look and feel. It is reported that the product adopts “Electronic paper” technology, also known as bistable Display technology, which has the advantages of ultra-low power consumption and no power consumption for still pictures.
According to public information, under the fixed content of Xiaomi’s e-book, the entire screen is in a static state in the true sense, and there is no flickering. And there is no need for a backlight. Like traditional paper books, it provides reading needs by reflecting ambient light, protecting eyes and ensuring comfort.
According to the data of Wisdom Buds, as of the latest, Xiaomi and its affiliates have a total of 7,259 patent applications in the field of e-books in 126 countries/regions. From the perspective of patent categories, 99.89% of all patents in the above fields of Xiaomi Patents are invention patents, with a total of 7,251. Judging from the technical composition of Xiaomi’s above-mentioned patents, some of its patents are related to “input devices for converting the data to be processed into a form that can be processed by a computer”, and 12.52% of the patents are related to “local resources”. Management”, 11.26% of the patents are related to devices, equipment, circuits and systems (see Figure 1 for details).
