Wall-mounted enclosures fit modern control units for IoT applications

OKW Enclosures Inc. has designed a family of wall-mounted enclosures that are easy and quick to install for IoT and IIoT applications, particularly for intelligent building control and monitoring in industrial, commercial, and residential environments. The SMART-PANEL enclosures can be used in a range of applications, including building services systems, electrical installations, wireless communications, security and access control, smart homes, and medical and laboratory technology.

Wall-mounted enclosures fit modern control units for IoT applicationsThe SMART-PANEL enclosures are easy to install with the top snapping into place without visible fixing screws. The large, recessed top can house LEDs, displays or a membrane keyboard. A touchscreen also can be fitted into the enclosure. A snap-in hardboard plate (accessory) protects the electronics from the risk of damage during installation and maintenance. The enclosures can be re-opened by using push-in opening tools (accessory).

The bottom section fits standard flush-mounted/cavity wall boxes (with a maximum opening of 2.4”) and larger international installation boxes (up to 5.9” high and 2.4” wide).

The SMART-PANEL family measures 0.84” deep and is available in two sizes: 3.30” × 3.30” and 6.10” × 3.30”. The enclosures are molded from UV-stable ASA+PC-FR (UL 94 V-0) plastic with a highly polished bottom section and a fine-textured top. The standard color is traffic white (RAL 9016) with special colors available on request. Prices start at $20.

Other accessories are available including a glass panel for touchscreens and displays, which can be printed on the back and anti-slide feet for desktop use. Customization is available ranging from CNC machining, décor foils, and EMC shielding to digital printing and laser marking as well as installation and assembling of accessories in-house.
